The former Duquesne Brewery headquarters on the South Side is being nominated for the National Register of Historic Places.
The Brew House Association and its development partner, Trek Development Group, will host a public meeting at 6 p.m. Dec. 1 at the Brew House Gallery, 2100 Mary St. on the South Side, to discuss the nomination. Listing the Brew House on the National Register would enable the association and Trek to use federal tax credits in the rehabilitation and development of the complex.
The Brew House opened in 1899. Other buildings followed, starting in 1937. Various owners took over the buildings after the complex closed in 1972.
