Fox TV Tuesday gave an early season renewal to its freshman Monday night drama "Prison Break."

The thriller returned to impressive ratings last week after a four-month hiatus, Daily Variety noted.

Its episodes that have aired since coming back increased the network's season-to-date ratings by 57 percent among adults 18-49 and a whopping 81 percent in the 18-34 age range, Variety said.

Fox has already given early renewals for the 2006-2007 season to "American Idol," "Bones," "The Simpsons," "King of the Hill," and "Family Guy."
