Bryan Elder led Fox Chapel to an undefeated regular season at 14-0, and then made sure the momentum carried over in the playoffs as he guided the Foxes to their first WPIAL Division I team title since 1984 and fourth overall.

For his efforts, Elder is the Valley News Dispatch Boys Golf Coach of the Year for the second straight season.

Elder took a senior-dominated team and turned it into a champion. He shifted his lineup, including moving No. 1 player Adam Hofmann to the sixth spot in the WPIAL finals at Cedarbrook to back-load his lineup.

Fox Chapel shot 406 to better Upper St. Clair by six shots.

Elder's seven-year record as Foxes coach is 83-19, including a 76-12 mark in section matches.
