Foxy Brown recovering from ear surgery

Rapper Foxy Brown is expected to regain all of her lost hearing after undergoing ear surgery in Los Angeles, it was reported Friday.

Def Jam President Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter said Brown "just had an operation" and "hopefully within the next couple of weeks her hearing will slowly start to come back," AllHipHop.com reported.

Brown suffered from sudden sensorineural hearing loss, which could have resulted in permanent deafness without treatment.

Jay-Z gave the medical update during a live chat this week via his Roc-A-Fella Records Web site.
