Fredericktown woman dies in I-70 crash

A Washington County woman was killed last night after losing control of her car and crashing into a tractor-trailer on Interstate 70, state police said.

Jessica Neifert, 18, of Fredericktown was driving east in South Strabane when she lost control of her Dodge Neon about 11:15 p.m., state police said. Neifert drove about 700 feet off the road, through the grassy median and into the westbound lanes, state police said.

The front end of her car hit the left rear wheel of the tractor-trailer and went under the rig, state police said. The impact forced the wheels off the rig, state police said.

The tractor-trailer driver, Rustam Khamrakulov, 44, of Staten Island, N.Y., was not injured, state police said.

Neifert died at the scene.
