A PennDOT official confirmed the traffic restrictions necessary for work on the Freeport Bridge will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday.

The restrictions will be in place on Route 356 as part of a project that involves jacking up the bearings on the northern end of the bridge over the Allegheny River for replacement work.

Traffic periodically will be stopped in both directions.
