Class AAAA
1981 Mt. Lebanon (13-0)

1989 Upper St. Clair (15-0)
First WPIAL team to win 15 games in a season. Defeated North Hills, 38-14, for WPIAL honors then won PIAA title over West Lawn Wilson, 12-7.
1993 North Hills (15-0)
Sometimes overshadowed by school's 1987 team, the '93 Indians with LaVar Arrington captured WPIAL crown over Upper St. Clair, 21-13, then edged Central Bucks West, 15-14.
2001 Woodland Hills (14-1)
Pounded Central Catholic, 41-6, before a WPIAL record crowd of 38,000-plus in first year of Heinz Field. Lost PIAA finals to Neshaminy, but defense yielded only 9.9 points per game.

First WPIAL school to win 16 games in a season. Whipped PA powerhouse St. Joseph's Prep in Week 2 then rolled through postseason, blanking Gateway, 28-0, in WPIAL finals and routing Neshaminy, 49-14, for state crown.
Class AAA
1923 Washington (9-0)*
Outscored opponents 437-0, including Pittsburgh Allegheny, 60-0, in WPIAL title game. Season ended a nine-year run that produced a 63-4-10 record.
1933 New Castle (11-0)
Part of a 26-game winning streak and so dominant that the team was described as moving down the field like a red hurricane, and a nickname was born. How dominant? Greensburg declined to play New Castle in the WPIAL title game.
1969 Gateway (10-0)
This was the first suburban post-World War II boomtown school that won a title, disparaging the notion that suburban kids lacked the toughness to win a WPIAL title.
1978 Penn Hills (10-1)
Coach Andy Urbanic guided the team to a mark of 84-8-1 between 1973-80, including WPIAL championships in 1976-78. The only blemish in 1978, a team that included Bill Fralic, was a Week 3 loss to Hempfield, 17-14.
2007 Thomas Jefferson (16-0)
TJ outscored opponents 166-42 in four WPIAL playoff games and 87-19 in three PIAA games.
Class AA
1934 N. Braddock Scott (12-0)
Part of the school's 41-game undefeated streak. Beat Ambridge, 6-0, for WPIAL honors, then went to Miami for the Peanut Bowl on Christmas Day, beating the host school, 26-14.
1938 Mount Pleasant Hurst (9-1-1)
Two blemishes were a loss to Johnstown and a tie with Jeannette, much larger schools at the time. Beat Wilmerding for WPIAL title and sent three players to the NFL, all with the Steelers — Joe Cibulas, Joe Glamp and Walt Gorinski.
1964 Montour (10-0)
A win over Arnold meant the fourth WPIAL title in the eight years since the school changed its name from Robinson Township High School to Montour. Part of a surge that compiled a 55-4-2 mark from 1962-68.
1998 Shady Side Academy (14-1)
Last of six WPIAL titles for coach Art Walker Sr. First year of PIAA's continuous clock rules for teams up by 35 points in the second half; Indians had "mercy rule" applied in first 12 games.
2012 Aliquippa (15-1)
Scored 760 points, second best in WPIAL history. Quips tallied 50 or more seven times and beat Washington, 34-7, for a 15th WPIAL title.
Class A
1943 Aspinwall (10-0)
Last WPIAL team to go undefeated, untied and unscored upon. Won title over Pitcairn, 24-0, as 7,000 fans packed Wilkinsburg's Graham Field.
1949 Bridgeville (10-0)
The 64-0 title game victory over Trafford remains the most lopsided final in WPIAL history. It was also the Indians' 25th straight win.
1990 Farrell (14-1)
Outscored opponents 598-102, including three WPIAL playoff foes, 117-7. Lost PIAA finals to Marian Catholic.
1998 Rochester (15-0)
