A public viewing for U.S. Rep. John Murtha will take place from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday and Monday at Frank Duca Funeral Home in Westmont.

A private funeral will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Westmont Presbyterian Church, followed by private burial in Grandview Cemetery. Murtha's family and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi are making plans for a public memorial in the Capitol.

Murtha died Monday of complications from gallbladder surgery. The family asks that people not send flowers and instead give money to UPMC John P. Murtha Cancer Pavilion or the Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center.
