On Memorial Day 2012, American Legion Post 80 in Ross Township was renamed Sgt. Joseph D. Caskey American Legion Post 80.

The new name honors Marine Corps Sgt. Joseph D. Caskey of West View, who was killed in Afghanistan on June 26, 2010. He was 24.

The renaming ceremony took place at the post after a Memorial Day Service at a nearby veterans monument in the Laurel Gardens neighborhood in Ross Township.
