Year after year, our readers reinforce the richness of the Fay-West area.
The Christmas season is over, but the memories for all who benefited from the many toy and food drives in the Fay-West area will live on.
In these uncertain times, there is one thing that we know for sure -- Fay-West residents have big hearts.
That was evident as Fay-West residents helped the Daily Courier's annual Gift Club be deemed a success once again.
Daily Courier Gift Club members have warm, generous hearts as evidenced by the amount of toys donated to the U.S. Marine Corps' Toys for Tots program.
The lobby of the Daily Courier was filled with a variety of toys -- beautiful new dolls, stuffed animals, bicycles, games and a ton of other items contributed by our Gift Club members. All of these toys were given to the Toys for Tots program.
Year after year, our readers prove how rich the Fay-West area really is in its generous, caring people. What a shining example of goodness and generosity!
A big thank-you goes to all who contributed toys to help scores of needy children enjoy a wonderful Christmas morning and to the U.S. Marine Corps and its volunteers for continuing this worthwhile program. Your efforts are appreciated by all, especially the children and parents who would otherwise not have such a happy Christmas.
This program and its contributors show needy children that, yes, people do care.
In these tough times it is good to know that our readers will step up to the plate and help, as they always do each year during this drive.
Let's keep that giving and loving spirit alive throughout the new year.
