Glass Slipper Ball’s a perfect fit for Zonta Three Rivers Pittsburgh North
As stories of growth spurts go, Zonta Three Rivers Pittsburgh North‘s is a pretty good one.
“This started out in my living room,” said Debra Dion Krischke as she surveyed a ballroom full of 550 celebrating the Glass Slipper Ballon March 2at the Sheraton Four Points North in Cranberry.
Much has changed over 10 years, evidenced by a sellout two weeks in advance that brought together the northern contingent of the social network including co-chairwomen Cindy Yingling and Kiersten McCort, prexy Catherine Montague, Corina Diehl, Dotti and John Bechtol, and Bob and Janine Fragasso.
Featuring the Best of the Chefs and Libation Purveyors, the event allowed guests to be easily lured out of good behavior by local kitchens — including Fresco’s, Andora, Bartram House Bakery, Bee Delicious Pastries and Bello Frutteto — without much protest.
“It’s great! Sold out again. … What more can you ask for?” asked Laurie Rogg.
Focused on advancing the status of women through funding for education, advocacy and hands-on service, Zonta also supports a number of local agencies through its philanthropic arm.
