"Grand Champion" -- featuring Julia Roberts, Bruce Willis and George Strait -- may be the best little U.S. movie most people have never heard.
"It's the best little movie that you've probably never heard of before," said Eric Parkinson, president of distribution company Hannover House. "Audiences and film critics have given high praise to the film, so our superstar cast is icing on the cake."
The new film arrived video Jan. 25th from Hannover House with principal stars Joey Lauren Adams, Emma Roberts and Barry Tubb. Tubb also directs the "G" rated film about a Texas cattle stock competition and a kidnapped cow.
"Grand Champion" enjoyed a modest theatrical debut last fall, but is getting more attention for it DVD and VHS release.
"This is the film that sparked the romance between Julia Roberts and cinematographer Danny Moder," said Parkinson. They later married and are the parents of twins.
The film's soundtrack features original songs performed by The Dixie Chicks, Willie Nelson, Charlie Robison and George Strait.
