Grand jury indicts man for embezzling from United Steelworkers International Union
A federal grand jury on Tuesday indicted a Cranberry man on 18 counts of embezzling from the union he worked for.
Charles Rocha, 43, was the political director for the United Steelworkers International Union when he used his business credit card or altered vouchers to pay for several personal trips, including golf outings to Florida, South Carolina and North Carolina as well as at least one of the 2009 Stanley Cup playoff games between the Penguins and Red Wings in Detroit, prosecutors say. He embezzled more than $6,900 in 2008 and 2009, prosecutors say.
There was no public phone listing for Rocha and no attorney listed for him in court documents.
