He is an 11-year GLT veteran and most recently was manager-human resources. MANUFACTURING Recently retiring from Timken Latrobe Steel were Louis J. Sedlacko with 37 years' service; Bernard M. Rabic , 36 years; Jerry M. Balik , 40 years; Larry R. Henderson , 36 years; Robert L. Olson , 33 years; Michael J. Bulebosh , 39 years; and Andrew S. Peltz , 35 years. BANKING/FINANCE AmeriServ Financial promoted Hudson W. Stoner to vice president and manager of AmeriServ's commercial lending department in Monroeville and hired Daniel J. Rohal as senior vice president and senior lending officer. Stoner has more than 20 years' experience and has a master's degree from Duquesne University. Rohal was senior vice president and regional manager of First National Bank of Pennsylvania and had been employed by Promistar for more than 18 years. Lyle S. Watts was hired as retirement plan services specialist for First Commonwealth Trust Co. He most recently was vice president, employee benefits/sales manager at Sky Trust in New Castle. Yanni Partners Inc. promoted Patrick Fisher to associate consultant. Fisher has worked at the firm since 2000. He came to Yanni from Horix Manufacturing Co. Inc. in Pittsburgh, where he was assistant accounting manager. Federated Investors Inc. hired Craig Burness as a managed account specialist for the company's western region. Burness has 19 years' sales and marketing experience and most recently worked as vice president of advisory sales and marketing for Linsco/Private Ledger. Before that, he was involved in growing managed account assets for Merrill Lynch and Fidelity Investments. Larry Keblusek joined Mellon Financial Corp. as senior vice president and chief investment officer for Mellon's Private Wealth Management group. Keblusek, who will work from Boston, comes to Mellon from Citigroup Asset Management, where he was managing director in charge of U.S. institutional equity and global private banking investments. ACCOUNTING Thomas J. Ryan , a partner in the assurance services division of Horovitz, Rudoy & Roteman, CPAs and Business Advisers, was named president-elect of the Pittsburgh chapter of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants for the 2002-03 term. LEGAL Thorp Reed & Armstrong named Joseph Friedman a partner and Kristin M. McCormish an associate, both in the commercial and corporate litigation practice group. Both attorneys worked at Springer Bush and Perry. Cohen & Grigsby elected Nancy L. Heilman president and appointed W. Scott Hardy as membership chairman of the American Inns of Court, University of Pittsburgh chapter. Heilman is a partner in the firm's employment litigation and labor and employment groups. Hardy is an associate in the firm's labor and employment group. ADVERTISING/PR Ten/United promoted Steve Smith to senior vice president/creative director from senior vice president/associate creative director. He has worked for the agency for 15 years and is a Clarion University graduate. HEALTH CARE Warrendale-based AmeriNet Central promoted Mary Beth Lang to vice president for market segments and education services. Lang was AmeriNet Central's senior director of business process development. She also was director of pharmacy, group purchasing. David Johns , a physician certified in internal medicine, was elected president of the Johnstown-based Conemaugh Health System medical staff. Johns was chief resident in internal medicine during his residency at Memorial Medical Center. Frick Hospital in Mt. Pleasant appointed to its medical staff as anesthesiologists: Richard S. Brickley, Scott Brinkmeyer, Jong Lee, and Joseph J. Stemm . Brickley received his medial degree from the University of Pittsburgh; Brinkmeyer from the College of Osteopathic Medicine in Des Moines, Iowa; Lee from Catholic Medical College in Korea; and Stemm from Penn State University. TECHNOLOGY Carl Rogers joined Pittsburgh-based GeoDecisions as a GIS analyst. He holds a bachelor of science degree in geographic information services from Penn State University. Management Science Associates Inc. of Pittsburgh named James Shaw chief information officer. Shaw has been at MSA 17 years and was MSA's group director, corporate IT, business development and international media. He holds a master's degree and a bachelor's degree, both from the University of Pittsburgh. OTHER 84 Lumber Co. hired Davis McCracken and Michael Denison as manager trainees at the store in Murrysville. McCracken, a Latrobe native, is a Derry High School and St. Vincent College graduate. Denison, an Apollo native, is a graduate of Kiski Area High School and Westminster College. Named as 2002-03 officers of the Council of Engineering Companies of Pennsylvania were President Sandra Loy Bell , chief executive officer of Skelly and Loy; President-Elect Bruce A. Patrick Ansell was appointed vice president finance and administration for GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare North America.
