A group of 25 lawyers in Greece are threatening to sue Warner Bros. Studios in Hollywood and Oliver Stone for suggesting Alexander the Great was bisexual. Stone has completed a feature film, "Alexander" with Colin Farrell, playing the fourth-century Macedonian conqueror Alexander the Great. The film reportedly has a number of love scenes with Alexander and his friend, Hephaistion. "We are not saying we are against gays, but we are saying the production company should make it clear to the audience that this film is pure fiction and not a true depiction of the life of Alexander," said Yannis Varnakos, who is heading the campaign by 25 lawyers. The lawyers have said that they want Stone and the studio, to include in the title credits of the film, a reference that the movie is fictional and not based on official documents of the life of the Macedonian ruler, reported the Melbourne Herald Sun Saturday. © Copyright 2004 by United Press International
