The debut album of Nashville singer/songwriter Gretchen Wilson -- "Here For The Party" -- has been certified triple platinum. "Every million is a milestone, but I don't want anybody to believe that we are anywhere near finished making plaques," said Sony Nashville president John Grady. Wilson kicked off her Chevy Presents Big & Rich and Gretchen Wilson: The American Revolution Tour, Friday. She'll return to Nashville to perform her new single "When I Think About Cheatin' " on the CBS-broadcast of the County Music Awards at the Grand Ole Opry House Tuesday. The following week she will perform "Redneck Woman" on the American Music Awards. She is nominated for Favorite Female Artist -- Country Music and Favorite New Artist. Wilson and Ashley Simpson are running neck-and-neck for the highest-selling debut album for any genre this year. Wilson's album initially broke a record when it entered Billboard's Top 200 Album Chart at No.2 and stayed at the top of the Country Music Album Chart for a record nine weeks. © Copyright 2004 by United Press International
