Guide rail project to affect I-79 drivers

Drivers on Interstate 79 between the Bridgeville Rest Area south of Exit 54 and Crafton Interchange will encounter left-lane closures in both directions starting today, PennDOT said.

Crews will be installing cable guide rail. Left lane closures will occur in both directions according the following schedule:

• 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays between the Crafton Interchange (Exit 60) and I-376 (Parkway West Exit 59)

• 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. weeknights between I-376 (Parkway West Exit 59) and the Bridgeville Rest Area (south of Exit 54)
