Los Angeles County authorities Wednesday were looking for a gunman who shot up a car in a fast-food restaurant parking lot overnight. One man was killed and a woman and young child were injured in the vehicle that was riddled with rounds from an assault rifle in the parking lot of a Jack-in-the-Box in Pico Rivera. Sheriff's deputies told KNBC-TV, Los Angeles, the shooting did not appear to be gang-related and no arrests had been made. The male victim was struck several times in the upper body while the woman was wounded in the foot. The 4-month-old baby in the back seat was hit by flying glass. KNBC said the shooting was the second fatal slaying at a Los Angeles-area Jack-in-the-Box in less than a week. A man was killed last Friday at an outlet in Santa Clarita. The killer in that case also remained at large Wednesday. © Copyright 2005 by United Press International
