A "hard-to-recycle" collection will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Steel City Harley-Davidson, Route 19 and Racetrack Road.

Most items will be taken at no cost, says organizer Pennsylvania Resources Council. Televisions and computer monitors, mice and keyboards will be accepted at no cost for the first time.

Off the Floor Pittsburgh will take usable furniture such as dressers and beds to distribute to low-income families. Other participating recyclers include Global Links, which will take medical equipment and supplies, and Construction Junction, which resales building materials such as windows and light fixtures.

For more details and a schedule of items that will be recycled for a fee, visit www.zerowastepgh.org or call 412-488-7490, ext. 236. There will be free refreshments at the event and a cookout beginning at 11 a.m.
