Hatred or disagreement?

I read the Rev. Darlene Ryniec's letter “Put aside the hate” (Nov. 26) with interest. Unfortunately, the writer confuses hatred with political disagreement.

Is she talking about the same President Obama who called those who disagreed with him “greedy businessmen” or “greedy doctors” or “greedy bondholders” or “greedy rich”? Does this sound like someone who is free of hatred?

Why not question a politician who we know so little about? Read President Obama's books and you will have more questions than answers. Unfortunately, the Rev. Ryniec is confusing President Obama with God.

My understanding is that God was not talking to Caesar when he said, “Heal the sick, feed the hungry and care for the poor.” He was talking to you and me. The government is one of the least-efficient organizations when it comes to helping people. Consider contributing to the charity of your choice.
