It’s wonderful that we have loving, considerate individuals who run various fundraising events to help fire victims, people with costly medical problems and the homeless. We’re very fortunate to have the Salvation Army and Red Cross. I applaud them all.
But we have people in prison we provide for with our taxes. They do not deserve our money.
New England has been in a state of emergency with frigid temperatures and snow. Our prisons should provide the jailbirds with shovels and let them earn their keep by removing snow from everyone’s walk, digging out frozen water, gas and sewer lines in frigid weather and scrubbing out portable toilets.
