Hazardous waste collection set for Settler's Cabin Park

The next collection of household hazardous wastes will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 19 at the wave pool parking lot at Settler's Cabin Park.

The collections are organized by the Southwestern Pennsylvania Household Hazardous Waste Task Force. Settler's Cabin straddles three townships in the Robinson area.

Items collected at these events are paint products, aerosol cans, automotive fluids, compact fluorescent bulbs, gasoline and kerosene, batteries, chemistry sets, household cleaners, mercury, pesticides and herbicides, photo chemicals and pool chemicals.
