New ketchup packets being distributed by the H.J. Heinz Co. will feature hundreds of 1980s trivia questions as part of the Pittsburgh ketchup maker's new promotion: the Heinz Ketchup Trivial Pursuit Contest. Heinz will print questions and answers from the new Trivial Pursuit Totally 80s Edition game on 200 million single-serving packets through the end of January. The packets will go to restaurants, schools, stadiums and other food service businesses. Customers can win a $2,500 grand prize or one of hundreds of copies of the new game by registering online at heinztrivialpursuit.com. "There's a certain nostalgia that people have for the '80s, so we're giving consumers a chance to reminisce about that special time in their lives while enjoying the ketchup they've loved all along," said Rebecca Serafini, a senior brand manager for Heinz's foodservice division. "This is a change for millions of Americans to remember more than they realize about the colorful '80s," said Tim Eio, senior marketing manager for Pawtucket, R.I.-based Hasbro Inc., which distributes the Trivial Pursuit game.
