U.S. rockers Helmet have had to delay their first tour in seven years and CD release, because frontman Page Hamilton broke his collarbone.

The band was set to kick off its U.S. tour Sept. 17 in Atlanta, but that show has been rescheduled for early October due to Hamilton's mountain bike accident, Billboard.com reported Tuesday.

Other date changes were being finalized.

The in-store date for Helmet's new Interscope album, "Size Matters," has moved from Sept. 14 to Oct. 5.

Helmet has undergone a transformation since its last album, with the group now featuring guitarist Chris Traynor, former White Zombie drummer John Tempesta and former Anthrax bassist Frank Bello.

"Aftertaste," the band's 1997 album, has sold more than 132,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen Soundscan.

Tracks from the new project can be heard at www.helmetmusic.com.
