In response to Michael Rogers' letter "Pass Home Star" (Aug. 4 and TribLIVE.com): Hey, Mike, instead of stealing wealth from others to incentivize home efficiency upgrades, how about calling on congressional leadership to cut taxes• Armed with more of their hard-earned dollars, taxpayers might choose to make their homes more efficient on their own.

If it makes sense and is in demand, the market will provide it.
