Two homeless brothers were sent to the Allegheny County Jail at mid-morning Wednesday for allegedly beating and robbing a Tarentum man just before 1 a.m.
Antonio Darnell Partlow, 23, and Lashawn Alajwua Partlow, 19, were sent to the jail in lieu of $50,000 each.
According to police, Tarentum and neighboring officers were sent to investigate a fight in an upstairs apartment in the 600 block of Second Avenue about 12:45 a.m.
An officer found a man bleeding from his head.
The victim told police he had been beaten and robbed of about $600, XBox console and video games, cell phone and other items by two armed men who wore dark hooded sweatshirts.
The victim said the pair had pistols but, when he grabbed at one, it felt like plastic.
Officers outside the apartment saw two men matching the description running through Second Avenue yards, Sgt. Ryan Hanford,, said.
Hanford said Tarentum Officer Chris Cattone and Brackenridge Officer Chris Fabec gave chase for about 15 minutes.
Antonio Partlow was found "hiding in a parked car near the Dalton's Edge apartments" about 1 a.m., Hanford said.
Police said they found $591 on Partlow as well as a digital scale, plastic BB gun and other items. He also had blood on his pants and elsewhere.
A sample of Antonio Partlow's left pant leg was cut off so a lab can test it for blood from the victim.
Police drove the victim to Allegheny Valley Hospital in Harrison for treatment and to get a blood sample for tests.
Later, Harrison Officer James Austin told officers he knew Antonio Partlow was usually in the company of a younger brother, Lashawn.
Police went to a house in the 500 block of East Seventh Avenue where he was known to visit. Police were told that Lashawn Partlow had been there early Wednesday but left after cleaning blood from his hands and face.
Police arrested Lashawn Partlow when he returned to the house about 4 a.m., Hanford said.
Both Partlows are charged with robbery, aggravated assault, theft, burglary and receiving stolen property. Lashawn Partlow is also facing two drug charges for allegedly having marijuana.
At their arraignments, District Judge Carolyn Bengel ordered the Partlows held in lieu of $50,000 cash bond each.
She also ordered them to not have any contact with the victim if the men somehow post bond.
"No contact — no phones ... no Facebook, no Twitter," she warned.
"The officers did a good job," Tarentum police Chief William Vakulick said.
