Hugh Grant, once infamously caught with a hooker, reportedly was uneasy discussing a “Bridget Jones” sequel scene in which his character meets a prostitute. Grant, who plays Daniel Cleaver in “Bridget Jones: The Edge Of Reason,” opening in November, was doing interviews to promote the film, when the British actor was asked about the irony of a scene in which Cleaver meets a prostitute in a Thailand bar, Britain’s Sun reported Tuesday. “Well, I didn’t write that scene. It’s just there,” Grant said, reportedly looking embarrassed and adding “It doesn’t even bother me.” Grant was arrested in 1995 in Los Angeles for allegedly asking a prostitute named Divine Brown for sex. The actor split from longtime girlfriend Elizabeth Hurley after the incident. Grant currently is dating British heiress Jemima Khan. © Copyright 2004 by United Press International
