District Attorney Stephen A. Zappala Jr. said today that he expects to file six or seven new charges against a suspended school security guard accused of sexually exploiting a McKeesport teenage runaway.

Thomas John Hose, 48, a security guard at Cornell Intermediate School in McKeesport, already is charged with child sex crimes in the case of Tanya Kach, now 24, who disappeared on Feb. 10, 1996.

He and a former McKeesport beautician, also charged with child sex crimes, face preliminary hearings Thursday. Judith Clara Sokol, 57, is charged along with Hose because police said she changed Kach’s appearance when the 14-year-old ran away and let the teen live in her home for a few weeks and have sex with Hose.

Kach resurfaced March 21 and told police that after living with Sokol on and off for several weeks, she moved into Hose’s parent’s home on Soles Street, where she was held in an upstairs bedroom for much of the past decade.

Zappala said Sokol also could face more charges.

“Primarily we’re looking at Mr. Hose for charges involving him keeping the victim against her will,” Zappala said.

He said investigators are developing a psychological profile of Hose. Additional Information:
