Geovany Soto hit a solo homer (No. 2) to left on an 0-1 pitch. Cubs 3, Pirates 0 Cubs second Mark DeRosa doubled to left-center. Reed Johnson singled to left, DeRosa to third. Sean Gallagher bunted out to pitcher, sacrifice, Johnson to second. Soriano hit a three-run homer (No. 8) to left-center on an 0-1 pitch.
