IKEA Home Furnishings, of Plymouth Meeting, Pa., is recalling 25,000 Bertby glass-door wall cabinets because the cabinets may not be secured to the wall.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission said Friday some of the cabinets have the wrong sized screws for the safety bracket, so the cabinet might not be properly secured to the wall.
The cabinets could fall and cause injury. IKEA said it has received two reports of cabinets falling, but no injuries have been reported.
The cabinets have "BERTBY," the product article number (380.472.10) and supplier number (14709) written on a label on the underside of the bottom panel or on the top side of the top panel.
The units were sold by IKEA stores nationwide from January 2002 through Sept. 9, 2004, for about $100.
Consumers should contact IKEA to determine if their wall cabinet needs a free repair kit at (888) 966-4532 or ikea-usa.com. IKEA is offering a free repair kit and instructions.
