Indiana County crash victim identified as Apollo man, 82

An Apollo man died of injuries suffered in a three-vehicle accident Tuesday morning in Indiana County, state police said.

John H. Anderson, 82, was driving east in a 2001 Chevrolet pickup truck on Route 22 in the right lane of the two-lane road at 10:30 a.m. when he crossed the center line and struck a westbound 1996 International tractor-trailer operated by Anthony C. Moyer, 28, of Tunkhannock, Wyoming County, said Indiana state police Trooper Daniel Zenisek.

After Anderson's vehicle hit Moyer's rig, a tire came off a trailer Moyer was pulling and was run over by a westbound Volkswagen sedan driven by an unidentified 17-year-old female from Portage, Cambria County, Zenisek said.

Neither Moyer nor the juvenile female were injured in the crash, and no charges or fault was found with them as a result of the crash, Zenisek said.
