Indiana woman falls out of moving car

An Indiana woman sustained moderate injuries on Tuesday when she fell out of a car in Armstrong Township.

According to state police, Brandon Schork, 21, and Kelsey Deitle, 22, both of Indiana, were travelling along Laurel Road around 4:35 a.m. Deitle was sitting on the passenger door frame, partially out of the vehicle, when a deer ran out in front of the 2000 Ford Focus Schork was driving, police said.

Schork applied the car's brakes to avoid hitting the deer, causing Deitle to fall out of the car and roll onto the roadway.

Information on Deitle's condition was not immediately available on Tuesday.

Deitle and Schork were not wearing seat belts, according to police.
