Interstate 79 reopens after morning closure

Traffic is backed up along I-79 near Wexford due to ice on Dec. 5, 2018.

A portion of Northbound I-79 has reopened after icy conditions forced it to be closed earlier this morning.

The road was shut down between Wexford and Warrendale while crews treated it with salt.

Motorists were detoured along Route 19.
