Interstate 79 will be down to single lanes in the Franklin Park/Sewickley Hills area

Interstate 79 will be reduced to a single lane in each direction today and Saturday in Franklin Park and Sewickley Hills, PennDOT officials said.

From 7 p.m. tonight until 10 p.m. Saturday, I-79 will be reduced to single-lane traffic between the Mt. Nebo Road interchange and Interstate 279, weather permitting.

Work crews will be conducting deck repairs on the bridges that carry I-79 over Red Mud Hollow Road in Sewickley Hills.
