Jennifer Lopez has been keeping a low profile in New York after marrying Marc Anthony, suggesting she may be trying to live a more normal life.

The newlyweds tried not to draw attention to themselves during a recent visit to London Jewelers in an upscale Manhasset, N.Y., shopping center, Long Island's Newsday reported Sunday.

"Some celebrities pull up in the Rolls Royce with bodyguards, and they're dressed like they're going to a gala, because they want to be noticed," said store manager Richard Cefalu.

While customers stared at the starry couple, sales staff -- trained to be discreet when the rich and famous come to shop -- remained cool as they helped Lopez try on what Cefalu called some of the shop's more "user-friendly" gems, including a diamond necklace.
