The latest James Bond film, "Casino Royale," finally has its villain in Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen, it was announced Thursday.

Mikkelsen -- best known for his role as Tristan in "King Arthur" -- will play Le Chiffre, director Martin Campbell announced at the Czech Republic's Barrandov Studios, the BBC said.

The film starring Daniel Craig as Agent 007 is scheduled to shoot in the Bahamas later this week.

Le Chiffre was originally played by Orson Welles in the original 1967 film of "Casino Royale," the BBC noted.

The final pivotal role remaining open at this late date is that of the "Bond girl."
