Regarding Salena Zito’s column “Obama losing average white guys” (May 13 and TribLIVE.com), which I read on RealClearPolitics.com : Ms. Zito interviews a putatively average white guy named Rudy Guy and learns what he thinks about President Obama’s policies. After reading the column, I have a question: What does Mr. Guy do ? You know, for a living ?

Ms. Zito tells us what his grandfather and father did for a living. She tells us what his wife does for a living. But she curiously leaves out what the subject of her column does for a living.

That seems like a fairly important bit of information, especially since we’re supposed to accept Mr. Guy as “average.”
