Joe's Crab Shack has shut down its Robinson location, according to Trib news partner WPXI-TV.

The abrupt closing is among 40 carried out by the beach-themed company nationwide since August.

WPXI reported a sign on the door at the Robinson location says, "Sorry we're permanently closed." An auction company was parked in the parking lot Wednesday morning, WPXI reported.

The company's website lists 72 Joe's Crab Shacks, including one in Pittsburgh's Station Square.

Houston-based Ignite Restaurant Group filed for Chapter 11 reorganization bankruptcy on June 6. According to a statement from the company, Ignite filed the bankruptcy to help clear the way for a sale.
