June is opening with business changes around Bridgeville area
Area farmers markets are opening this month featuring produce and other items from vendors.
The Bridgeville Farmers Market & Flea Market is open from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays at 431 Washington Pike. Other markets include:
• The Original Farmers Night Market on Route 50, Bridgeville/South Fayette Township, open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
• The Carnegie Farm Stand at 415 Washington Ave., open on Wednesdays from noon to 6 p.m.
• Seton Carnegie Farm Stand at 211 Third St., is open on Wednesdays from noon to 6 p.m.
• Christoff's Greenhouse, Prestley Road in Bridgeville, is a Community Supported Agriculture farm. Shares are still being sold to community members at a fixed price and every week throughout the season. Subscribers receive a box of fruit and vegetables each week.

Elsewhere, changes abound this month in local businesses and organizations:
• Coming soon to the Chartiers Valley Shopping Center will be Panera Bread, Advanced Auto Parts and Great Chinese Buffet. The latter is due to open by November and the former two stores should be ready by January 2014.
• Chinese Acupuncture Wellness Center has relocated from Chartiers Valley Shopping Center in Bridgeville to 1840 Mayview Road, Suite 106, Bridgeville. Call 412-221-2773 for an appointment or visit www.wellnessbyacupuncture.com.

• The Rev. Sharon Stewart has been the new pastor of Crafton United Presbyterian Church since her installation in January 2013. The church, located at 80 Bradford Ave., Crafton, is the 1966 merger of the former Bradford Avenue United Presbyterian Church (founded in 1905) and the former First Presbyterian Church of Crafton (founded in 1885).

The church has a youth group, prayer chain, knitting group, food bank and community outreach, health and wellness committee and choir, and will be sponsoring its upcoming Vacation Bible School program this summer.
Worship is on Sunday at 11 a.m., preceded by Sunday School at 9:45 a.m. Its Camp Senior Citizen Group meets the first and third Mondays from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
• St. Clair Hospital has remodeled its Family Birth Center. Changes included a new paint, replacing doors to patients' rooms, removing carpeting and replacing it with decorative flooring, adding new furniture and a flat-screen television to the family waiting room, and replacing the ceiling with specialized tiles to better control sound transfers. About 1,400 babies are born at the center every year.
