Terrorists abducted and killed a young Indian woman Saturday by reportedly beheading her in Kashmir.

Shehnaz Akhtar, 28, was kidnapped from her home Friday night and her decapitated body was found in nearby forests Saturday morning, the Hindustan Times reported.

She was the 55th woman to be killed by terrorists in Kashmir this year.

Terrorists forcibly took Shehnaz away from her home in the presence of her husband, who was beaten with rifle butts when he tried to resist, police said.

The motive for the murder was not immediately determined and no group has claimed responsibility for the killing.
