This is the third in a series of Olympic postcards from Penguins defenseman Darius Kasparaitis, who plays for Team Russia. The Russians played the United States late Saturday.

Hello, Pittsburgh

A lot of people think I'm Russian because I play for the Russian team, but I am Lithuanian. There have been a lot of bad things between the countries before, but it's not the people's problems. It was the governments. We all went through that.

They get along, Lithuanians and Russians. They always had things in common as business partners. They respect each other, and I think people are excited to see me play for Russia. They don't give me hard feelings, because I help a lot with Lithuanian hockey, and it helps even more playing for Russia. They're proud of me, because I'm playing at a high level.

Talk to you again Monday,

Darius Kasparaitis
