Liquor licensing is a pretty, packaged luxury tax from a temptress named Government. Government is a seductress promising to soothe all sorrow by intelligently spending your hard-earned dollars best.
We all know that Government is not a classy lady but a tramp. Remaining BYOB keeps dollars in your pocket and out of the hands of Government, the shopaholic.
Right now, Government is drunk with rage that Bellevue citizens have not submitted themselves to one more tax. Taxes stop a person's economic growth.
The first miracle of Jesus was to turn water into wine. It was a gift to the groom and bride at the request of his mother. BYOB is a gift from Bellevue's founders!
I like being able to choose the brew that accompanies my meal. Bellevue citizens, count your blessings. Do not let yourself be seduced into a luxury tax or bullied into submission.
Individual citizens know best where to spend their dollars. Keep change in your pocket and away from the luxury tax.
