Fans of the Disney Channel's "Kim Possible" have convinced The Walt Disney Co. to reverse its policy of limiting animated series to three seasons.

The company announced Tuesday it was renewing the popular cartoon for a fourth season, MediaWeek.com reported.

Fans mounted a "Save Kim Possible" blitz that included petitions as well as an online write-in campaign, MediaWeek said.

The show has been a top draw for the Disney Channel, Toon Disney and the ABC Kids daytime programming block, MediaWeek noted.

Production on season four will begin in the next few weeks.
