A visit to Darmouth on Nov. 9 and a chance to watch the Big Green thump Cornell sufficed as a sales pitch for Kiski Area senior Andrew Yohe, who committed to the Ivy League school Tuesday.

Yohe, a 6-foot-3, 290-pound three-year starter on the line for the Cavaliers, received an offer from Dartmouth the day he watched it beat Cornell, 34-6. The Big Green, which wants Yohe as an offensive guard, started recruiting him about a year ago at a Pitt camp, where he met Dartmouth's offensive line coach and offensive coordinator, Keith Clark.

“I've always really strived academically, but I never considered (the Ivy League) much until last year,” Yohe said. “I loved the area up there, the coaches were really great to talk to and seeing them beat Cornell by 28 was pretty convincing.”

Darmouth was the first school to offer Yohe, who finished his senior season with 32 tackles, including two sacks.

“I really got tired of waiting for calls and trying to communicate with coaches,” Yohe said. “After the visit, I knew I liked it up there enough to commit, regardless of any other offers. I knew that was where I wanted to be.”
