I recently had the pleasure of watching an amazing act of kindness on the part of many individuals from the South Butler County School District.

Knoch High School's head boy's basketball coach, Ron McNabb, and his players, wanted to grant a wish through the Make-a-Wish Foundation for a little girl who is suffering from a terminal illness. In order to do so, $3,900 was needed to be raised to cover all costs. The team held various fundraisers and, in three short weeks, $6,900 was collected.

The team and Make-a-Wish presented the little girl and her family with a trip to Disney World while the players presented her with many Disney Star Wars toys during a recent basketball game at Knoch High. She also cheered alongside the cheerleaders during the game.

Coach McNabb, his staff, players, athletic director, administrators, students, parents and fans are to be commended for their efforts. The Knoch family of players and coaches truly made a little girl's dream come true. Go Knights!
