Dr. Paul Kraisinger has taken over the practice of Aiello and Cobb in Scottdale. Seated is Dr. David Cobb and (standing from left) Kraisinger and Dr. Joshua Parry, who will be joining the Scottdale office.

Dr. Paul Kraisinger expects taking over the family dentistry practice of Aiello and Cobb in Scottdale to be business as usual.

“Nothing is going to change except that we will now have longer hours and we will be offering more advanced care and since there are more of us, we will also be able to offer better emergency services.”

Kraisinger has established offices in Mt. Pleasant and Greensburg and was not in the market for a third site, however when Dr. David Cobb approached him about looking for someone to take over his practice, Kraisinger reconsidered.

“He didn't want to just sell out,” Kraisinger said of Cobb's practice. “He was concerned about his patients.”

Cobb said his associate Dr. Frank Aiello still will be practicing in North Huntingdon, but Cobb himself was retiring.

“It was just time,” Cobb said. “We've been looking for someone for about two years now to take over the business and he (Dr. Kraisinger) will be a good fit here.”

Kraisinger, who specializes in family dentistry, said he will keep the staff is presently employed in Scottdale and make some additions, including Dr. Joshua Parry who is thrilled about the Scottdale location.

“I'm really excited about coming here,” Parry said, explaining his family is originally from the Scottdale area. “It will be like a homecoming for me.”

Kraisinger said he was impressed immediately with the friendliness of the staff and the patients and felt welcomed from the first day he visited the offices.

“I commented to Dr. Cobb that I was used to my patients bringing me baked goods and cabbage soup,” Kraisinger said in relation to his Mt. Pleasant office patients who frequently bring the doctor and his staff food. “He said ‘You'll get that here too.' Wouldn't you know, the first day I was here a lady I met went home and baked me something. It's incredible.”

Kraisinger took over Dr. Jack Amoroso's practice in Mt. Pleasant in the spring of 2012.

“My daughter was in school then, so I thought that it would be a good move and a good opportunity for her,” Kraisinger said of his daughter, Tara Kraisinger, who is now in her final year of dental school. “Tara is now a senior, so this could be great for her when she graduates.”

Kraisinger said he hopes to retain many of the patients from the Scottdale practice and plans to offer even more services at the offices.

“It will be a state-of-the-art facility,” Kraisinger said. “The people in Scottdale deserve the same type of great quality care as people in Beverly Hills. People can now expect a lot more technical advances in the practice.”

Cobb said he plans to enjoy his time off, relaxing with family and playing golf.

“I'll miss the people,” Cobb said of his leaving, adding he thoroughly checked out Dr. Kraisinger prior to the purchase and even checked on the turnover rate of his assistants. “I knew of his reputation and I think that he will work out well here. I feel really comfortable knowing that everyone will be in good hands.”
