LA Fitness, Mongolian Grill to join SouthSide Works

LA Fitness plans to employ 40 full- and part-time fitness instructors when it opens its seventh center in the region by year's end in the SouthSide Works, officials said on Monday.

The 23,289-square-foot, two-story center will be in the former Joseph-Beth Booksellers space at 27th and East Carson streets, said R. Damian Soffer, president/CEO of Soffer Organization, owner of SouthSide Works.

In addition, The Steel City Mongolian Grill will open in the fall. The 6,200-square-foot restaurant will have a "create your own stir-fry" concept and will feature a 600-degree, 7-foot grill.

The Mongolian Grill will be in the former Ann Taylor Loft space on 27th Street.
