Shoot is known in professional wrestling as no gimmick or storyline motivated in the statement. Just the truth and reality of the situation.

In honor of my favorite band, AC/DC, that I intend to see in New York days after SummerSlam, let me “Shoot To Thrill” regarding some topics in the professional wrestling world:

John Cena gives shout to kid with cancer

In the middle of a fantastic verbal exchange between John Cena and Kevin Owens on Monday, Cena pointed out a child in the crowd wearing his merchandise and holding a sign with Cena’s slogan and focus of his promo that read, “Never Give Up.”

He worked some supportive words for this child facing something so serious.

Here’s the problem: The fans … no wait, they aren’t even fans … the trolls who use the social media avenues to claim the bad form it was for Cena to insert the cancer-battled child into his promo. One step further, the same group actually insisted the child could have been a plant in the crowd. Yes, a young actress was there for Cena to take the theme of cancer to make his point because he needed material to ensure he trumps Kevin Owens, who’s the man many of these trolls pray to daily because he represents all that is missing from WWE.

I’m a big Cena supporter in his work ethic. I’m a big Owens supporter in his talents finally being recognized and utilized on the highest stage. The trolls are unbelievable and stupid.

I would guess 9 out of 10 of them don’t have kids or have much life past their keyboard warrior mission of naming Cena as enemy No. 1. If I guess wrong, well, I feel sorry your reaction to an entertainment show is so shallow.

Reality is, Cena probably made that child’s night, year or maybe life. He gave some sincere words of encouragement, got her featured in the middle of RAW and brought the fan into the ring after the camera went off.

If you still disagree with me, let me tell you that you’re trapped inside of an entertainment world where you judge who’s a good worker when you are the one being worked the most. And it’s sad.

Great job WWE writing for the promo. Great job Kevin Owens for his work up till now. Amazing work John Cena for everything.

Stop analyzing what type of negative reaction a wrestler gets

Big Show was a great choice of an opponent for Ryback.

As the new Intercontinental Champion, Ryback is experiencing the most organic string of positive momentum in his WWE career. WWE could have opposed him with some heel performers who are the “cool heels” that fans like because of all the good pro wrestling things they do with their character. The crowd would have been split and harmed the positive Ryback run.

Instead, WWE is putting Big Show and The Miz opposite of Ryback.

Both Big Show and The Miz get consistently solid negative reactions as they’re supposed to. It has nothing to do with the term I hate known as “X-Pac heat” which means people want them to go away.

Talk about fans getting too much inside knowledge where they get to analyze their medicine given in an entertainment experiment.

Professional wrestling is built off reactions. You cheer and boo the characters. You get emotionally invested. Yes, people turn the channel, and that is attributed to the storyline scenario, time of night and what else is on television.

Reality is, if people boo Big Show or The Miz, it means the wrestlers are doing their job as heel characters so well that no amount of “intelligent” fans can explain otherwise their success.

Bottom line, Ryback against Big Show and The Miz will keep the fanfare train rolling.
