Land annex considered for new football stadium

The Keystone Oaks School Board took the first step toward possible annexation of Mt. Lebanon land into Dormont for a new football stadium. The board voted 5-4 Thursday to authorize the district to look into the border between Mt. Lebanon and Dormont and to estimate a time line and cost for the plan. Board President David Rauth and board members Joanne Borgesi, Kevin Grecek and Evelyn Weaver dissented. The district was presented with two options last fall: renovate Dormont Stadium and continue to use it or build a new stadium, which likely would go on the high school campus. While campus land is in Mt. Lebanon, the district does not serve that community.
