Bankrupt LandAmerica Financial Group Inc. has closed its Washington, Pa., office and relocated several hundred workers to its LandAmerica OneStop office in Moon. Lucas Piatt, vice president of Millcraft Investments, which owns half of the LandAmerica Building, said his company was informed two weeks ago of the action. "We will attempt to fill their space as soon as possible," he said. A LandAmerica spokesman in Richmond, Va., could not be reached. Millcraft broke ground in 2005 on the $18 million building with Nationwide Appraisal and Title Services Inc., which LandAmerica later purchased, as the primary tenant. The seven-story building was the major part of Millcraft's $100 million plan to revitalize downtown Washington.
